What Amelia is going to do with Herman's tumor is much harder than Drew's case. As Brenda continues to beg, Bailey says there's no time, or else they might lose her. Herman says it's never easy for anyone. Perhaps the writers have realized that Debbie Allen’s portrayal of her has been overbearing and, frankly, over done previously because fronting up to April she was sensitive; her performance had softened.
Meredith tries to find a sitter so she can go visit Derek, Amelia and Stephanie work together on a case. Stephanie follows Amelia, saying she knew Amelia would pull it off, even though she said it was impossible.
When Catherine needed someone while mourning the loss of her grandson, Richard was there to hold her. Owen enters the chapel too and sits down next to Amelia to watch the candles together. Jackson holds her tight and says it's okay. He tries to explain, but she doesn't think it's the time for that. Their journey was a beautiful, sad, yet important inclusion into season eleven.

Richard finds Meredith. Arizona is taken off the case by Dr. Herman. April and Jackson walk through the ER on their way out. Something good.
She's not so sure though, but he says that if he wanted to shoot her, he'd have done it in the woods and she'd still be there now.
A crying April tells Catherine that there's no way to do what she believes she has to do. April has a new found faith, and continually prays for a miracle. In real life she's a new mum, self-employed and can often be found arguing about politics or current affairs, attempting to write fiction and buying hair products. Owen calls time of death on his patient with the patient's wife, covered in blood, crying outside the room.
After finding out that their baby had type II OI, April and Jackson decided to allow Nicole to induce labor. Some little piece of beauty in the midst of some place dark. "She's gonna die if I don't get that out," Maggie tells Bailey and Callie, looking at Brenda's scans. She turns to Alex, but does not want Jo watching them, too. April's voice over mentions the phrase an unexpected gift when it's needed most.
Ben is telling Owen and Ben about the intern, but neither of them knows who he's talking about. (I know, I’m ‘banging’ on about Jo. April doesn't want to go through with it until they have a name. Amelia asks Stephanie to have radiology send everything up to the OR as she walks out. Richard: You can tell me. This episode's title originated from the song. Arizona thinks Nicole should've called her, as she knows them and cares about her, so she could've made it as nice as it could be.
This is his last hope, the chances are slim, and he knew that. It's a pat little phrase and an empty one. Bailey is in the chapel, lighting a second candle. April hugs her and asks her if she believes in God.
Bailey rushes over to take a look and gives her more lidocaine. Alex asks him if Cristina ever watched Meredith's kids.
Callie asks what they're going to do for them.

Alex and Jo join in, but they can't think of anything. A few more flashbacks to April and Jackson as newly-weds. Howard, her husband, apologizes, but she doesn't want to hear it. He only did that for Cristina, so he's gonna do it this weekend for Alex. Meredith goes out of town, deciding to leave her children with their Aunt Maggie. One thing that the writers have always managed to do is bring a heartbreaking storyline and tell it with justice. Letting Go: April and Jackson are now ready to take the next step. So his subconscious saw the pen. That's the difference here. Directed by Jackson agrees and the death certificate catches April's eye.
He is, but it's just been a lot for one day. Jackson finds April. He asks Amelia if everything's all right.

I am enjoying the introduction of Amelia to Grey’s Anatomy enormously. She needs sex and apparently can’t find anyone to cover her shift or look after her kids (didn’t she just hire a nanny? As IMDb celebrates its 30th birthday, we have six shows to get you ready for those pivotal years of your life ... your 30s. Jo has never been the biggest fan of Meredith and Alex’s new relationship, so will this cause more problems for them? Brenda still thinks they're wrong and complains of heavy pain in her shoulder.

Amelia knows she's never gonna be able to remove all of this tumor. She's gonna try for a total resection, but at least she'll buy him some time. I’m writing this with the flu....it might be soppy. At times Avery has been a one dimensional and rather too nice a guy (read: boring) that it needed something epic to allow Jessie to shine.
