The M2 has a big pair of shoes to fill, not to mention the fact that BMW went as far as to promote it as a spiritual successor to the E30 M3 and the 2002 Turbo.

The interior has also been adapted for the race series. But that’s not all. A similar Dakar Yellow package has been applied to the new 1-Series M Coupe, rounded out by a series of visual and power upgrades.

In fact, if we’ve missed one of your favorites, make sure to hit us up. Besides, it’s already difficult to own an M3 GTS anyway considering that BMW only built 150 of them. Merely 399 of these were road cars, the rest living their lives out on the race tracks of the world.

In addition, Studie AG also dressed up the 1-Series M Coupe with a Fire Orange paint finish while a new set of gloss black wheels add a nice complement to the car’s overall look. The commercial’s slogan is "Have your cake and eat it too."

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe isn’t just a popular car in Europe or America; it’s got quite a following over in Asia too. The BMW 1M Coupe is a project that has left much to be desired in the form of teaser images and sneak preview videos, but, as BMW was showcasing the 6-Series Coupe Concept,three versions of the 5-Series Touring, and the X3 Crossover at the Paris Motor Show, the sporty little Coupe was taking part in another mini show of its own. Now, Revozport has also tried their hand at the 1-Series M Coupe with exterior updates and future engine modifications.

A man named David Aviles, who works at Northwest BMW in Maryland, won a sales competition and was invited to an event called The Power of M. While he was there, the man from Maryland discovered some interesting things.

In essence, it’s everything the 1M Coupe was and then some.

That motor should be more than enough to haul around the car’s 3,307-pound weight. Since the 1-Series M Coupe was launched, we’ve seen tons of testing shots and tuning kits that have highlighted the sports car’s attributes, but this may be the first time a guy has the guts to really push the car to extremes.

From a posh commuter car, this Tuningwerk M135i is a triple threat with its monster sprint pace, high-speed overtaking power that is on par with supercars, and its track and racing prowess.

There will only be three colors available: Alpine White, Jet Black, and Valencia Orange Metallic. Only a handful of road versions of the M1 exist.

This was, as in the case of the original, a design element that was set in stone before any sketch was ever laid on paper. Even though we don’t really think the BMW 1-Series M Coupe needs any upgrade packages to add to its stellar style, there have actually been a ton of tuning packages for it since its debut. Mihai Fira started out writing about long-distance racing like the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Neerpasch, who was head of the development program stressed that the car was to be strictly mid-engine in order to outclass its competitors. The new BMW 535d Touring M Sport also got a spot on his "favorites" list, grabbing the top spot as "2011 Car of the Year.".

Earlier this year, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, BMW unveiled a very cool M135i Concept and, of course, shortly thereafter rumors began about a production version. The 1 Series Coupe, on the other hand, was a completely different story. The tuning company hasn’t released photos of the car yet, but they did release an impressive three-minute teaser of the car as it undergoes final preparations before it is unveiled at SEMA. This mesmerizing prototype designed by Paul Bracq was the inspiration for BMW’s one and only supercar: the M1. At the time of its unveiling, the M1 was unlike anything else BMW had built.
On top of that, the tuner also added larger intercoolers, oil coolers, and radiators to the engine, resulting in an increased output of 465 horsepower and 442 lb/ft of torque.

BMW’s hot little 1-Series M Coupe has been getting plenty of attention from a variety of tuners these days and the kits keep coming.

The list of modifications are pretty extensive for the car RevoZport is calling the ’Black Knight.’ Among the more notable additions to the 1-Series M Coupe program include a RevoZ P-450 Performance kit, an Alcohol Injection Systems trunk mounted meth-tank, a full race exhaust, and a new charge-pipe.

Under the hood, we will see BMW’s latest six cylinder N55 with twin-turbo technology and both manual and M DCT transmissions. It will also have widened fenders, integrated duckbill trunk spoiler, upgraded M wheels, and large brakes with cross-drilled rotors.

To sweeten the pot even more, BMW built just 2,700 units, making it one of the most appreciated BMW models. At first glance, this latest tuning project from Florida-based Precision Sport Industries looks just like the standard BMW 1-Series M Coupe that made its much-awaited debut in 2010, but upon closer inspection, there are tons of new features that will make this bad boy stand apart from the rest.

This all leaves us with the original M1 of which just 453 were built. The power of the design is focused precisely where the power of the vehicle also lies - at the engine.

The car featured some ultra-aggressive lines completed by a narrow front end coupled with gullwing doors. That’s lot of pressure for both BMW and the M2. The engine will be combined with a rear-wheel drive system. This chassis houses a very proud Chevrolet V8 engine tuned by Sodemo Development to produce a maximum output of 550HP. After debuting the M135i Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, BMW has now unveiled the M135i production version.

In 2004, Sports Car International named the car number ten on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970s. Unquestioningly it takes up the graphic play of the hallmark BMW M1 colours black and orange and interprets them anew. The 1M Coupe is already an icon to BMW enthusiasts and because Munich built very few of them. While the car was never seen moving, BMW argued that they designed the car with functionality in mind, each body panel carefully carved to channel air. As the years went by, his area of interest grew wider and wider and he ever branched beyond the usual confines of an automotive writer. Just when you thought that tuning programs for the BMW 1-Series M Coupe had died down, Tuningwerk comes out of the woodwork to present one, which they have affectionately called the 1M RS. Thanks to the extra power, the Hartge 1-Series M Coupe will sprint from 0 to 124 mph in just 11.34 seconds - an improvement from the standard 13.52 seconds. No word yet on what kind of performance upgrades the 1M Coupe GTS-V will carry.

The Liquid Orange paintwork exclusively developed for the BMW M1 Homage cites the classic BMW M1 colour, yet surprises with its powerfully iridescent play of colour and brilliant depth.

From what we know of the BMW 1M, it’s looking like we will be receiving 350hp leading us to believe it will stand to compete with the Audi TT-RS amd the Nissan 370Z. This tower stands 1,018 feet tall and is considered as the tallest building in the world with a helipad on it.

The top part, which also features a see-through grater, swings upwards at the rear, a BMW logo gracing it on both sides.

One RHD model recently turned up at Munich Legends with only 8000 miles.

Basically, BMW did not design an interior for this car as it was meant to be a study in exterior design alone and, as Van Hooydonk put it, “A project such as this is a valuable source of inspiration for our day-to-day work." The current M135i - offered as a successor for the 1M Coupe - is currently a very successful model, even if it is not really a pure M car. In this video, Clarkson goes through some of his favorite cars of the year and his top pick is surprisingly not a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, even though a Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante did take third place on his preference list. But even if its got enough ponies to make us all swoon, there’s always a way to get more out of it. - that professional French racing team we mentioned - is offering up the first race tuning package for the BMW 1M, calling it the GC10-V8.

It’s clear that BMW wanted the Hommage to feel wider and more muscular than the original which is why flat surfaces were all but abandoned.
